Duck VS 12 Gauge


Today I went to pick up my car after a late night playing cards with friends yesterday.
When I left I noticed a couple of ducks making their way towards my house.
I figured by the time I got back they'd be closer to my house and I was correct.
When I came home they were about 100 yards from my house,
I parked the car and went in and picked up the 12 gauge semi auto.
The lake is about 10 yards from my house so I was quickly in position behind some trees.
I stood still, waiting for about 10 minutes while the ducks made their way towards me.
Sadly just one of them was close enough at 20 yards
while the other was about 10 yards further out on the lake.
The one closest to me dived under looking for food and I moved the gun to my shoulder.
When it came back up it raised it's body flapping the wings to get the water out and I took the shot.
#3 BB's at 20 yards with most of the body exposed were sufficiant..
